A recent concert by singer Sonu Nigam at Delhi Technological University (DTU) took a shocking turn when some individuals in the audience began throwing stones and bottles at the stage.

According to reports from India Today, the concert, which was part of a university festival attended by over a lakh people, turned unsettling when members of the audience engaged in stone pelting. Despite the disruption, Sonu Nigam remained calm and addressed the crowd, urging them to behave responsibly. “Main aapke liye aaya hoon yahan pe so that we can all have a good time. I’m not asking you to not enjoy, but please aisa na kariye,” Nigam appealed to the crowd.

The incident sparked widespread disapproval, with many students condemning the unruly behavior of those involved. Speaking to The Hindustan Times a student said, “It was shameful to see that just because of a few unruly students, a legend like him had to pause and request the audience to behave.”

In contrast to the disturbing moments, a video from the concert has captured a lighter, heartwarming moment. During the performance, a fan threw a pink hairband at Sonu Nigam, who happily accepted it, placed it on his head, and said, “I will take this home.” He continued his performance, wearing the pink hairband, much to the delight of the audience.

The incident has drawn mixed reactions, but Sonu Nigam’s grace under pressure and his ability to maintain his composure in the face of adversity has earned him admiration from many fans.
