Under this scheme, eligible women, who are permanent residents of the state, aged between 21 and 65 years, and from households with an annual income below Rs 2.5 lakh, will receive Rs 1,500 each month. This initiative is part of a larger effort to enhance the economic stability and self-reliance of women throughout the state.
3 million early beneficiaries of the scheme
The flagship scheme of CM Eknath Shinde-led government officially began on August 17, it retroactively considers July as the start month. Over 3 million eligible women have already received Rs 3,000 in their accounts during a trial run.
