A boiler explosion at a steel plant in the MIDC area of Jalna, Maharashtra, on Saturday left 22 workers injured, according to police reports, reported PTI. Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Bansal stated that three of the injured workers are in critical condition.
The incident occurred around midday at the Gaj Kesari Steel Mill, causing molten iron to spill onto the workers.
Three of the critically injured workers were transferred to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for treatment.
An additional official mentioned that the factory, which produces steel bars from scrap, is under investigation. Police are currently recording the statements of the injured workers, and legal proceedings are being initiated against the factory owner.
