BJP candidate list: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its 12th list of seven candidates for the Lok Sabha elections slated to begin on Friday (April 19).
Among the seven candidates are Abhijit Das Bobby from West Bengal’s Diamond Harbour seat, while Chhatrapati Udayanraje Bhosale, the 13th descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, will fight from Satara in Maharashtra.
Abhijit Das Bobby, who unsuccessfully contested the general elections in 2009 and 2014 from the Diamond Harbour seat, has been pitted against sitting Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee.
The remaining candidates in the BJP’s 12th list are Shashank Mani Tripathi from Deoria and Thakur Vishwadeep Singh from Firozabad. The two seats are in Uttar Pradesh.
