AAP list of candidates 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday unveiled its first list of eight candidates for Punjab. With a total of 13 seats up for grabs in the state, AAP strategically handpicked five Cabinet ministers to spearhead their electoral campaign.
Notable names on the list include Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, who will contend from Amritsar, Laljit Singh Bhullar nominated for Khadoor Sahib, Gurmeet Singh Khudian set to vie for Bathinda, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer stepping into the fray for Sangrur, and Balbir Singh slated to represent Patiala. Adding continuity to their lineup, Jalandhar MP Sushil Rinku has once again been designated as the party’s candidate for the seat, whereas Punjabi actor Karamjeet Anmol has been fielded from Faridokt seat.

In a notable addition, AAP has announced Gurpreet Singh GP as its candidate for the Fatehgarh Sahib seat. Singh was formerly associated with the Congress and a respected figure as MLA from Bassi Pathana.
Lok Sabha elections are due to be held in April-May this year.
