Delivering a dominant lights-to-flag win in the Sprint Race for Dams Lucas Oil, showcasing total control and sending a clear statement to the paddock,, this win brought much to the joy of supporters back home.

Maini began the Sprint Race from pole position thanks to Formula 2’s reverse-grid rule, which inverts the top ten qualifiers for Saturday’s race. After securing 10th place in qualifying for the Feature Race, Maini capitalised on the chance with a flawless performance on the challenging streets of Monte Carlo. In the truly intense 30-lap debacle, Kush remaine composed as he continued to defend his lead. Going at staggeringly high speeds, the racers have no room for error, which Maini achieved with this milestone victory.

During the award ceremony, the sound of Indian National Anthem filled the race track as Maini stood tall reciting it. Audience and fans alike, they honoured the winner. Who is Kush Maini?

Kush Maini made his maiden victory in the Budapest Sprint Race in 2024. His win marks his third campaign in the F2 Sprint format. The Indian driver progressed to FIA Formula 2 after finishing 13th in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Drivers’ Championship with MP Motorsport. His single-seater journey began in 2016 with Italian F4, followed by a third-place finish in British F3 in 2018 and a runner-up spot in 2020. Along the way, Maini also gained experience in the F3 Asia series and tested his skills in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
