Karnataka Latest News: The local police in Karnataka’s Yadgiri district have filed an FIR against a person for allegedly issuing death threats against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a Facebook video. The man has been identified as one Mohammad Rasool.
According to an India Today report, Rasool used to work in Hyderabad. In the Facebook video, Rasool was seen using offensive language against the Prime Minister. In the video, he also issued death threats against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath.
Rasool later shifted to Surpur in the Yadgiri district has been living there since moving from Hyderabad. The FIR was lodged on the basis of a complaint by a local resident of Surpur. The Surpur Police has filed a case against Rasool under sections 25(1)(b), 505(1)(b) and the Arms Act.
Karnataka: Another bomb threat via email
Meanwhile, another bomb threat was issued targeting the top officials of Karnataka. The email had claimed that trains, buses and hotels will be targeted on Tuesday afternoon. The bomb threat had said that the explosions will rock the state at 2:48 pm. While no untoward incident has been reported so far, Cyber Crime Police is probing the incident and security has been fortified. The accused has been identified Shahid Khan.
