The government laid out a Rs 120 crore plan to build toilets for 55,000 households under the Swachh Bharat scheme with a Puducherry collector offering free Kabali movie tickets for the Sellipet Panchayat residents for using public toilets.
The scheme was launched after a survey found lack of toilets in 58 per cent households in the Union Territory. Kiran Bedi, in her tweet, requested Rajnikanth, who enjoys a cult following the state, was also invited to become the brand ambassador for Puducherry.
Kabali, a gangster-drama film, is set to release on July 15 in India this year. The mad ticket sales has already begun. Super star Rajnikanth will be seen as a Malaysian gangster Don Kabali in the upcoming movie.
