In the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections, the ruling JMM, led by Hemant Soren, a member of the INDIA bloc, will be taking on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which includes the BJP, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), and Janata Dal (United), in the state.
In the 2019 elections, JMM had won 30 seats and went on to form the government with the Congress, which had won 16 seats.
