Voting for Jharkhand assembly elections began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm on Wednesday. Polling began at 7 AM across 14,218 booths in 12 districts and will continue until 5 PM. Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: Key candidates and constituencies
Prominent candidates contesting in the final phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections on November 20 include Chief Minister Hemant Soren from the JMM in Barhait, Babulal Marandi from the BJP in Dhanwar, and Rabindra Nath Mahato, also from the JMM, in Nala. Other notable contenders are Bebi Devi (JMM) in Dumri, Hafizul Ansari (JMM) in Madhupur, and Deepika Pandey Singh (Congress) in Mahagama.
In Jamtara, Congress leader Dr Irfan Ansari will face Sita Soren of the JMM, while Badal Patralekh from Congress is contesting Jarmundi. The BJP’s Randhir Singh is standing in Sarath, with Pradeep Yadav from Congress in Poreyahat.
