Bihar Election Results Biggest and Smallest Victory Margins: The National Democratic Alliance appears poised for a landslide election victory in Bihar — taking a lead in more than 200 seats soon after the counting of votes began on Friday. Some of these candidates coasted towards an easy win as each round of counting garnered thousands of votes in their favour. Others found themselves on far shakier grounds with only a handful of ballots separating them from rivals.

Data shared by the Election Commission showed that BJP candidate Rama Nishad had won the Aurai seat by a whopping 57206 votes — leaving Vikassheel Insaan Party nominee Bhogendra Sahni a distant second. The Sandesh seat in western Bihar was a sharp contrast with merely 27 votes separating the two main candidates after all rounds of counting.

Janata Dal (United) candidate Radha Charan Sah polled 80598 votes at the end of the final round of counting — with his Rashtriya Janata Dal rival hot on his heels. Trailing candidate Dipu Singh had a margin of merely 27 votes.
