The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall at some places with isolated heavy rainfall to continue over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It also predicted that dense fog will prevail in isolated packets of east and south Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Meanwhile, the depression (remnant of CS Midhili) over Tripura and adjoining regions have weakened into a Low Pressure area over North Tripura and neighbourhood and is  likely to continue moving further north eastwards.

A look at weather conditions across several states:- 

  • Delhi: The national capital will experience mainly clear sky today with a shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 28 and 12 degrees Celsius respectively. On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures settled at 28.9 and 12.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
  • West Bengal, Sikkim: Kolkata, the state capital, will experience partly cloudy sky on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are most likely to be around 30 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather is most likely over Sikkim and all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
  • Odisha: Odisha will witness dry weather today across all the districts. In Bhubaneswar, the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 32 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively. 
  • Himachal Pradesh: Shimla will experience partly cloudy sky today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are most likely to be around 19 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather-like conditions will prevail in almost all the three regions i.e. lower hills, middle hills and upper hills. In the past 24 hours, the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong at (-)0.8 degree Celsius.   
  • Tamil Nadu: In the past 24 hours, rainfall occurred at one or two places over Tamilnadu. Moderate rain occurred over the Karaikal area. Very Light rain occurred over Puducherry. Namakkal recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19.5 degrees Celsius in the plains of the region while Erode recorded the highest maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius in the region.
