The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Assam, Megahalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. It also issued a warning of flash flood risk in Meghalaya over the next 24 hours. The Light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall or thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. 

Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon

The Met office added that the conditions are favorable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh; some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana; and some more parts of Maharashtra and Central Arabian Sea during next 2-3 days.

On Friday, the southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from remaining parts of Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state; some parts of East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan; entire North Arabian Sea and some parts of Central Arabian Sea.

A look at weather conditions of few states:- 

Delhi

Delhi is likely to experience clear skies with mist in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively. On Friday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 37.6 and 17.4 degrees Celsius respectively. 

West Bengal

Kolkata, the city of Joy, will witness partly cloudy sky with rain and thundwershower at some places. The maximum and minimum temperature most likely will be around 32 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively. It also forecasted of rain or thundershowers over Sikkim; and at many places over Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Coochbehar, Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal; likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

Maharashtra

The maximum temperatures will gradually rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during next 48 hours and no large change thereafter. No large change in maximum and minimum temperature for next 5 days over Vidarbha. The dry weather conditions will prevail in all the parts of the state except South Konkan and Goa.
