The Indian Army, in a post on X, said, “Justice is served”. Minutes later, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other politicians including Smriti Irani, Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah, S Jaishankar, Yogi Adityanath, Piyush Goyal as well as leaders from Opposition parties took to social media to laud the Indian Army.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” on X, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Jai Hind, Jai Hind Ki Sena.”
From the international platforms, US President Donald Trump was the first one to react to India’s Operation Sindoor. He said that he hoped for this to end “very quickly”. The 78-year-old leader’s comment came shortly after India’s defence ministry confirmed it had hit nine locations in Pakistan following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.
Meanwhile, China has called the Indian strikes regrettable, however, it states the country does not support terror.

“The cunning enemy has carried out cowardly attacks on five locations in Pakistan. Pakistan has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India, and a forceful response is being given. The Pakistani nation and the Pakistani armed forces know how to deal with the enemy. We will never allow the enemy to succeed in their nefarious goals,” insisted PM Shehbaz Sharif in a social media post.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday also claimed that Pakistan reserves the right to respond in accordance with international law.
“In an unprovoked and blatant act of war, the Indian Air Force, while remaining within Indian airspace, has violated Pakistan’s sovereignty using standoff weapons, targeting civilian population across international border in Muridke and Bahawalpur, and across Line of Control in Kotli and Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir,” Dar said in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Sources told PTI that India had reached out to several leading countries, including the US, Russia, the UK and Saudi Arabia, early Wednesday and briefed them about the military strike it carried out on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
The strikes were carried out in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack.
“Senior Indian officials have spoken to their counterparts in a number of countries to brief them on the steps taken by India. Among these are the US, the UK, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Russia,” a source said.

US President Donald Trump has said the development was expected and urged a swift end to hostilities.
“It’s a shame. We just heard about it as we were walking through the doors of the Oval. Just heard about it. I guess people knew something was going to happen based on a little bit of the past. They’ve been fighting for a long time. They’ve been fighting for many, many decades. And centuries, actually, if you think about it. I hope it ends very quickly,” Trump said.
