Extending his support for the Indian Armed Forced after Operation Sindoor targetted nine anti-India terror infrastructures, AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal said, “We are proud of the Indian Army and our brave soldiers.”

“140 core Indian stand with the Indian Army in this fight against terrorism. The courage of the Indian Army is the faith of every citizen. We are all together – united against terrorism. Jai Hind,” he posted on X.

Yog guru Baba Ramdev reacted to Indian Armed Forces launching Operation Sindoor on Wednesday, saying, “…They killed our innocent civilians and have wiped away the ‘sindoor’ of our mothers and sisters and hence our Armed forces killed those terrorists under operation Sindoor…”

He added, “Now, our Armed forces should take PoJK back… We should hoist our tricolour in Karachi and Lahore…”

“Proud of our armed forces,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on social media platform X. “#operationsindoor is Bharat’s response to the brutal killing of our innocent brothers in Pahalgam. The Modi government is resolved to give a befitting response to any attack on India and its people. Bharat remains firmly committed to eradicating terrorism from its roots.”

China’s Foreign Ministry called the escalation between India and Pakistan in light of Operation Sindoor “regrettable.” Calling on both nuclear powers to put peace and stability first, the fellow Asian country urged them to refrain from taking actions as it is concerned about the current development.

“India and Pakistan are and will always be each other’s neighbours. They’re both China’s neighbours as well. China opposes all forms of terrorism. We urge both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, remain calm, exercise restraint and refrain from taking actions that may further complicate the situation,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, as per the official website.

“Much better reply needs to be given, this is bare minimum. Our forces did what govt of India told them to do, but the question again arises. Was every single terrorist killed?” Congress leader Rashid Alvi told ANI after Operation Sindoor hit 9 terror targets in Pakistan. ” Will there won’t be another Pahalgam? PM Modi had said that the remaining land of terrorists will be destroyed…if that has happened, then it is good…”

Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal was killed in the harrowing Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22. On Wednesday morning, his father, Rajesh Narwal, praised the Indian government for taking the “right step” to avenge all families affected in the aftermath.

“The Govt of India has taken the right step. They will always remember this strike. This Operation was named aptly. With this action, all 26 families will get justice…” he told reporters.

The brother of a local killed in the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 hailed Operation Sindoor. Praising the Indian government, Syed Nowshaad, the brother of the deceased Syed Adil Hussain Shah, said, ” I thank our security forces, PM Modi, central govt and state govt for taking such a good step…they have avenged the death of those innocent people…we feel proud of our govt, we had faith in them…” (ANI).

Scenes coming from Nagpur showed people taking to the streets to hail Indian Army’s air strikes that hit 9 terror camps in Pakistan. Slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” were raised, as many also began singing the Indian patriotic song “Sare Jahan Se Achcha.”

“The airstrike was on an expected line as India has conveyed it to the world and Pakistan, that we will hit back strongly,” said retired Brigadier Govind Sisodiya, defence expert who commanded the NSG operations after the 26/11 Mumbai attack. “We didn’t hit civilian areas, and hence it will be foolish for Pakistan if it retaliates… It will be good for Pakistan to return the accused of the 26/11 attacks and other terrorists, otherwise Pakistan will cease to exist…”

Locals in Rajasthan raised slogans like “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai” while celebrating India’s Operation Sindoor on Wednesday morning. Visuals of the scene also showed them lighting up fireworks in the streets.

Indian National Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took to X to praise the efforts of the Indian Armed Forced after Operation Sindoor was launched early morning Wednesday.

He wrote on X: “India has an unflinching National Policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK.

We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces who have stuck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. We applaud their resolute resolve and courage.

Since the day of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Indian National Congress has categorically stood with the Armed Forces and the Government to take any decisive action against cross border terror. National Unity and solidarity is the need of the hour and the Indian National Congress stands with our Armed Forces. Our leaders have shown the path in past, and National Interest is supreme for us.”

“Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!” Congress leader Rahul Gandhi posted on X, formerly Twitter, as more reactions to India’s Operation Sindoor continued pouring in online.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs notified via social media that Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, reached out to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, to extend solidarity against India’s Operation Sindoor.

“FM of Türkiye @HakanFidan called DPM/FM @MIshaqDar50 to express Türkiye’s solidarity with Pakistan against India’s unprovoked aggression violating Pakistan’s sovereignty and killing innocent civilians,” @ForeignOfficePk said on X. “He expressed concern over the deteriorating regional security situation. Both leaders agreed to remain in close coordination on the evolving situation.”

Israel has backed India’s Operation Sindoor as an act of self-defence in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attacks on April 22. Israel Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, wrote on X, ” Israel supports India’s right for self defense. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent.”

“A set of calibrated, calculated, precise strikes against terror targets. Exactly what i had advocated last week: hit hard, hit smart. I applaud the government and stand solidly with our armed forces,” Congress Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor wrote on X, plugging his own printed op-ed piece titled, “Hit hard, hit smart,” in light of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

“At the same time we have behaved in a manner that would not justify further expansion of the conflict. We have made our point and acted in self-defence. Time for all concerned to act wisely to prevent uncontrolled escalation. Jai Hind!” concluded his tweet.

“The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism,” External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar tweeted on X after Operation Sindoor hit nine sites in Pakistan.

Just two hours after US State of Secretary Marco Rubio notified that he was monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan, the Department of State issued a follow-up statement.

“Earlier this afternoon, @SecRubio spoke to the national security advisors from India and Pakistan. He urged both to keep lines of communication open and avoid escalation,” the State Department wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Rubio previously wrote on social media: “I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely. I echo POTUS‘s comments earlier today that this hopefully ends quickly and will continue to engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution.”

“…Today, India has shown its strength. I salute all the military personnel and also thank the government… I thank the PM as he understands the feelings of the country’s people, and he gave a befitting reply to Pakistan,” Syed Naseruddin Chishty, Chairman, All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council, told ANI in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. “We will uproot terrorism. Sindoor has a special place in our culture as married women apply it, but in Pahalgam, many of them have lost it, and today, we have avenged that by Operation Sindoor…”

“I cried a lot on hearing the name of the operation . It is a real tribute and justice to those who were killed by terrorists,” says Asavari Jagdale, daughter of Santosh Jagdale, who was killed in the Pahalgam attack on April 22.

“I congratulate the Army. We always take pride in our Army… The entire country wanted those lemon chillies to be removed from the Rafale… I think wherever terrorism is flourishing, we need to eliminate it all,” Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai reacted to Operation Sindoor, as per ANI.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeem (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi originally tweeted in Hindi on X: “I welcome the surgical strikes carried out by our defence forces on terror camps in Pakistan. The Pakistani deep state must be taught a tough lesson so that another Pahalgam never happens again. Pakistan’s terror infrastructure must be completely destroyed. Jai Hind!”

“It was imperative to teach a lesson to Pakistan…Mock drills are essential to learn to safeguard ourselves,” an ex-serviceman from Mumbai said.

Another civilian from Mumbai remarked, “Our blood has been boiling, and there should be even greater action against Pakistan. We stand with PM Modi and the country.”

“I want to thank PM Modi for taking revenge for my husband’s death. My entire family had trust in him, and the way he replied (to Pakistan), he has kept our trust alive. This is the real tribute to my husband. Wherever my husband is, he will be at peace today,” wife of Shubham Dwivedi – who was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack – told ANI.

“The way terrorists killed tourists in Pahalgam, people were demanding action. Today, we all Indians support this operation by the Indian army and we are all together… At such a time, the head of the Rajasthan government and ministers should be in the state instead of Gujarat…,” says Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra.

“We were crying with happiness. Modi has taken revenge, and the way the operation was named, our tears wouldn’t stop. Those sisters whose sindoor (symbol of marital status) was erased by these terrorists–India had struck them at nine locations. It feels truly different, and our tears of joy just won’t stop,” Asvari Jagdale, daughter of Santosh Jagdale, one of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, told ANI.

Sanjay Dwivedi, father of Shubham Dwivedi, another victim of the April 22 tragedy in Kashmir, said, “I am continuously watching the news. I salute the Indian army and thank PM Modi, who listened to the pain of the country’s people. The way the Indian military has destroyed the terrorism that is flourishing in Pakistan, I thank out military for that… My entire family has been feeling light since we heard this news.”

Manoj Dwivedi, another relative of Shubham Swivedi, added, “On 22nd April, when our child lost his life, we said that revolution is going to come in our country, and we were sure that PM Modi will take the strictest step to finish terrorism. I want to thank PM Modi for the real tribute that the Army has given to our son.”

“This was the right decision taken at the right time…Attacks were launched at the correct targets…The attacks were launched at terrorist locations…The nation will celebrate the Operation Sindoor…The government proved that they fulfil what they say…I congratulate the central government, Indian Army, Indian Air Force,” said GM Shaheen.

All targets chosen belong to the terrorist network and none were military targets…The cowardly and barbaric attack by terrorists at Pahalgam has been avenged following the overall directions of PM Modi to inflict unimaginable punishment to the terrorists and their backers,” he said.
