The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Uttar Pradesh today (September 28) and has warned of heavy rains. The MeT Office has indicated that parts of Uttar Pradesh are likely to experience fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall over the next three days. Following that, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is expected in the region for the subsequent four days.

According to the weather forecast, the minimum and maximum temperature for the day in UP’s capital, Lucknow is going to settle at 23.24 °C and 24.85 °C respectively. Relative humidity is at 94%, with a wind speed of 94 km/h. Sunrise was at 5:57 AM. 

According to the latest weather forecast issued by IMD, Rainfall activity is likely to continue over parts of East India, West India and Western Himalayan region during the next 2 days. 

IMD issues yellow alert for nine states

Meanwhile, the weather department has also warned of heavy showers in several other states and has issued yellow alerts for Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Kerala and Maharashtra.
