BJP MP Naveen Jindal cast his vote in the Haryana Assembly elections today, expressing strong confidence in his party’s success. He believes the people of Haryana will support the BJP. After voting at his polling station, Jindal, who represents Kurukshetra, stated, “The enthusiasm among the voters is palpable. We are thrilled to see such active participation today, and I am confident that the courageous and informed citizens of Haryana will bless the BJP. Haryana will support us, and Nayab Singh Saini will be chief minister once again.”
Jindal arrived at the polling station on horseback, which he deemed auspicious. He added, “I chose to ride a horse because it is considered lucky. My mother, Savitri Jindal, who is contesting from Hisar, aims to make significant contributions to the region. The people of Hisar will decide who their representative should be.”
When asked about the chief ministerial candidate for Haryana, he remarked, “Anil Vij is a prominent leader in our party, and only time will reveal who will become the Chief Minister. Every leader has the right to express their thoughts.”

Shortly after casting his vote, Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar criticised the Congress party, accusing it of spreading falsehoods and linking its past corruption to rising unemployment. He argued that employment opportunities have improved under BJP governance, noting that he served as Chief Minister for approximately nine and a half years before being succeeded by Nayab Singh Saini in March of this year. Saini is contesting from the Ladwa constituency, leading the BJP in these elections.

This election is significant, with the BJP aiming for a third consecutive term in power, while the Congress seeks to regain control amid concerns over anti-incumbency, farmer protests, and wrestler protests. Key parties in the Haryana elections include the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), along with a pre-poll alliance between the Indian National Lok Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party (INLD-BSP) and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP)-Azad Samaj Party (ASP).
A total of 1,031 candidates are contesting across 90 assembly constituencies, with 20,632 polling booths established for voting. The results for the Haryana Assembly elections will be announced on October 8, alongside those for Jammu and Kashmir. In the previous 2019 Assembly elections, the BJP secured 40 of the 90 seats, forming a coalition government with the JJP, which won 10 seats, while Congress obtained 31 seats. However, the JJP later exited the coalition.
