Four people were killed and 10 others sustained injuries in Amravati, Maharashtra, on Sunday morning when a truck collided with a tempo carrying a cricket team, according to a police official.

The tragic incident occurred at Shingnapur Phata in Nandgaon Khandeshwar taluka around 7:30 AM.

Superintendent of Police Vishal Anand said that the tempo, transporting 21 members of a cricket team from Amravati city, was en route to Yavatmal for a cricket match.

The driver of the truck has been apprehended, and the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
