A road rage incident in Bengaluru left a 5-year-old child injured on Wednesday night. Two unidentified men allegedly smashed their car’s rear window and the boy, sitting in the backseat, got injured and started bleeding.
Anoop George, who was driving the car, posted about the incident on X. According to George, he, his wife and their two children were on their way home after Diwali shopping when the attackers, riding a two-wheeler, stopped their car, demanded he roll down the window and then struck the rear window with a stone.
The 39-year-old techie, George, said that both of his children were in the backseat and that while his son needed three stitches on his forehead, his 11-year-old daughter was deeply shaken by the assault, Indian Express reported.
After the two men smashed the window, the terrified parents got out and confronted the attackers, after which they fled. In the video, George can be heard saying “my kid was there” and yelling at the assailants.
He recorded a video of the incident and later sought treatment for his son at Aarogya Hastha Hospital, before contacting the Parappana Agrahara police on Thursday morning, IE reported.
The police have detained one of the assailants and are on the lookout for the other attacker, according to an officer.
