Bihar Election Exit Poll Results 2025 Highlights: Today’s Chanakya gives clear victory to NDA, Axis My India keeps hopes alive for MGB

On the IANS-Matrize exit poll for the Bihar Assembly elections, RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said that the exit polls have often proved wrong.

“We completely reject this exit poll; it would be incorrect to rely on it. When the results are declared on November 14, the message from the people of Bihar will be in favour of Tejashwi Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan,” he said.

The opposition’s Mahagathbandhan has refused to accept the numbers of the exit polls that gave clear edge to the NDA.

Reacting to this, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “Earlier, they (opposition) blamed the Election Commission, then the EVMs, and then the officials. They are just looking for excuses… Both Appu and Pappu, one will go abroad and the other Delhi. They won’t care about Bihar anymore.”

As most exit polls for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 signal a win for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Congress MP Tariq Anwar on Tuesday stated that the projections should be considered as final results.

While speaking to reporters, Anwar cautioned that exit polls merely offer an indication, not certainty. “Exit polls are not accurate. They are only speculation. They suggest what might happen, but it would be wrong to think that they are accurate,” he said as quoted by ANI.

BJP national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan said the people of Bihar have shown clear support for the current government. He predicted that the NDA will return to power with a two-thirds majority, calling it a result of two decades of good governance under Nitish Kumar and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Paswan added that this victory would strengthen PM Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat,” with a developed Bihar at its core. He said Nitish Kumar’s rule has replaced the fear of “Jungle Raj” with stability and confidence. He also remarked that Prashant Kishor’s party may fail to make any impact in the results.

The Exit Polls results that are going to be coming out today include Today’s Chanakya, Axis My India and CVoter.

The Bihar Assembly elections saw a voter turnout of 66.91%, the highest in the state since 1951, the Election Commission said on Tuesday. According to the data, 62.8% of men and 71.6% of women voted this time. In the second phase of polling, 68.76% of voters turned up, including 74.03% women and 64.1% men. The first phase of voting, held on November 6, recorded a turnout of 65.08%.

Speaking about the Bihar Assembly election exit polls, BJP MP Jagadambika Pal said the NDA is confident of winning with a two-thirds majority. He added that the high voter turnout shows people are happy with the current government and that the final results will likely be even better than what the exit polls suggest.

According to the Bihar Chief Electoral Officer’s office, the Muslim-majority Seemanchal region saw the highest voter turnout with an average of 73.77%. The polling was led by Kishanganj (76.26%), Katihar (75.23%), Purnia (73.79%), and Araria (67.79%) districts.

Magadh had the lowest average turnout at 63.30%, followed by Shahabad at 63.96%. Both regions are known to be strongholds of the Mahagathbandhan.

Congress MP Imraan Masood on Tuesday showed confidence that the Mahagathbandhan will form the next government in Bihar. According to him, the exit polls signal a clear majority for the alliance.

While speaking to ANI, Masood said, ‘’The Mahagathbandhan government will be formed with an absolute majority. The exit polls also, on the whole, indicate the same trend, Nitish Kumar will not become the Chief Minister-he is been used.”

Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal stated to ANI that he is confident that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will once again form a government in the state. He also said that voters trust in Prime Minister Modi’s guarantees and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s model of development.

Commenting on the exit polls that indicate a favourable outcome for the NDA, Jaiswal said that Bihar has seen crucial development under the leadership of Modi and Nitish.

‘’The people have voted for PM Modi’s guarantees and development model of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. They believe that the state’s future is secure in their hands,’’ he mentioned.

At least nine exit polls gave a clear edge to the BJP on Tuesday evening — predicting that the ruling coalition would retain power with a resounding majority.

BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain predicted a landslide win for the ruling coalition. He claimed that the BJP and NDA worked hard during the elections, while the RJD and the Congress kept fighting among themselves.

“No matter what any poll says… The BJP-NDA is going to win the election with at least 160 seats. There was a one-sided wave (in favour of NDA). We are fully hopeful that the BJP-NDA will win the election with a massive majority and once again form a government,” the former Union minister told PTI.

According to exit poll by Polstrat, 133-148 seats will be taken by NDA to form a government in Bihar. MGB will have to settle for 87-102 seats this time, it predicted.

The BJP on Tuesday projected absolute confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s prospects, declaring that Bihar was witnessing a “one-sided wave” in favour of the incumbent coalition. Party leaders claimed that the public mood throughout the campaign had consistently pointed toward a “massive majority” for the NDA.

As the two-phase polling wrapped up today evening, early Exit Polls appeared to reinforce that narrative. Most surveys forecast a decisive NDA victory, placing the Mahagathbandhan a distant second in the race for the 243-member Assembly. The projections also signalled a rough debut for Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj, with estimates suggesting the fledgling outfit may secure anywhere between zero and five seats in its first electoral test.

According to TIF Research’s exit poll, NDA is projected to win 145-163 seats, MGB may win on 76-95 seats, JSP gets zero. Others are projected to win on 3-6 seats.

Union Minister Nityanand Rai has predicted 2/3rd majority for NDA government in Bihar. “A record-breaking polling took place in the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections 2025… People of Bihar trust PM Modi, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, and all the NDA allies… The NDA government will form in Bihar with more than 2/3rd majority…” he said.

According to Chanakya Strategies has projected 130-138 seats for NDA, 100-108 for MGB and zero for Jan Suraaj.

According to P-Marq, NDA is shown at a comfortable majority of 142-162 seats. MGB is getting 80-98 seats and Jan Suraaj is projected to win on 1-4 seats. Others are projected to win 0-3 seats in the assembly polls.

An exit poll data from People’s Insight shows 133-148 seats for NDA, 87-102 seats for MGB and 0-2 seats for JSP. Others are projected to win 3-6 seats, People’s Insight data shows.

As per the Dainik Bhaskar exit poll, NDA is projected to win 145-160 seats in the polls. MGB is winning 73-91 seats and Others are projected to win 5-10 seats. Jan Suraaj is not winning on any seat as per Dainik Bhaskar.

The Matrize exit poll survey is also hinting at 147-167 seats for NDA, a comfortable majority. The Mahagathbandhan is projected to win 70-90 seats in the polls, according to Matrize.

According to be JVC’s exit poll, NDA is getting 142 seats, MGB is getting 95 and JSP 1 and Others are predicted to get 5 seats.

According to DV Research, NDA is predicted to form government with 137-152 seats. Mahagathbandhan, on the other hand, is getting 83-98 seats. Jan Suraaj gets 2-4 seats and others are getting 1-8 seats.

According to Hyderabad-based Peoples Pulse, NDA has a clear edge with 133–159 seats and a strong 46.2% vote share. Mahagathbandhan gets 75-101 and Jan Suraaj 0-5.

Axis My India exit poll for the Bihar assembly election 2025 will also be released tomorrow, head of AMI Pradeep Gupta said in an X post.

Today’s Chanakya exit poll for Bihar election 20205 will be released tomorrow in the evening.

Bihar Minister and BJP candidate from Harsidhi assembly seat Krishnanandan Paswan exuded confidence about his victory on Tuesday. Paswan said that he will win by a margin of 50,000 votes as the NDA is set to return to power in Bihar with a “thumping majority”.

As of 5 pm, the voter turnout in the second phase reached 67.14%. This is more than the overall turnout in 2020 elections (57.29%).

The exit poll projections will be out shortly. To form a government, a party (or alliance) in the 243-member Bihar assembly will need to win 122 seats.
