Lilavati Hospital‘s trustee Prashant Mehta has claimed that the authorities have found some evidence of black magic in the hospital premises. Mehta alleged that eight urns (kalash) which contained human bones, skulls, hair and rice, were found beneath his hospital office floor, reported the Free Press Journal.

Mehta accused his former trustees of being associated with these findings and claimed that they did engage in black magic rituals involving murder – like sacrifice, the report said. Mehta said that this black magic ritual allegation was brought to his notice in December 2024 by some former employees who used to work at the hospital.

Mehta said that he had directed the engineering department at the hospital to break the flooring of the office, After doing so, the found the objects and recorded everything on video. Mehta said that these objects gave a negative vibe to the office.

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, now the Executive Director of Lilavati Hospital, backed these claims, saying that despite serious allegations, the Bandra police refused to file an FIR. As a result, they turned to the court, which chose to carry out its own investigation instead of directing the police to do so.

The allegations have been refuted by the previous board with a statement, the Free Press Journal reported. The statement categorically denied all the allegations by the “by the alleged trustees of Lilavati Trust.”

It said that the baseless complaint that was filed earlier at the Bandra Police Station is already being challenged by the former trustees in the Bombay High Court, and the case is still awaiting a hearing.

It further said that the former trustees were not aware of any new complaint filed against them, and it seemed this is just another malicious attempt to wrongly accuse them with a false and baseless criminal case.

The statement also said that the issue about who the real trustees of the Lilavati Trust are, is still being decided by the proper authorities. It added that desperate efforts are being made to wrongly involve the former trustees, with the aim of illegally taking control of the Trust’s management.
