Elections were held for four posts – President, Vice President, Joint Secretary and Secretary. According to the current trends, NSUI is leading on President and Joint secretary posts, while ABVP has gained a lead on Vice President and Secretary posts.
After round 11 of counting, NSUI president candidate had garnered 11,340 votes while the ABVP candidate had clinched 10,706 votes, Indian Express reported.
The voting for the DUSU elections took place earlier in September but the counting was delayed after the Delhi University was pulled up by the Delhi High Court for rampant defacement during the campaign. The results were originally planned to be declared on September 28, a day after the voting took place.
