Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday dived into the Arabian Sea at the Panchkui beach in Gujarat’s Dwarka, calling it a “very divine experience”.

“To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all,” the prime minister said in a post on X, sharing pictures from his experience.

Scuba diving is conducted off the coast of Dwarka near Beyt Dwarka island, where people can see the underwater remains of ancient Dwarka that were excavated by archaeologists.

PM Modi also offered prayers at the Lord Sri Krishna temple in Dwarka.

Earlier in the day, the PM inaugurated ‘Sudarshan Setu’, the country’s longest cable-stayed bridge, on the Arabian Sea connecting Beyt Dwarka island to mainland Okha in Devbhumi Dwarka district.

Speaking after the inauguration, he attacked Opposition Congress, saying its entire strength was used to ensure the progress of just one family, and that all scams took place under the Congress regime.

“The entire strength of Congress has been used to take one family forward. If everything was to be done only for one family then how would one remember to build the country? Its (Congress) entire energy was focused on how to run the government for five years and how to hide scams,” Modi said.

He added his BJP government stopped all those things in the last 10 years.
