Farmers Protest Today News Updates: Protesting farmers have been allowed to enter Delhi for their planned protest against the three farm laws enacted recently by Centre. Delhi Police said that after discussion with farmer leaders, they have allowed farmers to protest peacefully at Nirankari Samagam Ground in Burari. “We appeal to them to maintain peace in order to avoid any inconvenience to others,” said Delhi Police PRO Eish Singhal.
Before being allowed to proceed to Delhi, the agitated farmers earlier in the day clashed with security forces at Tikri border near Delhi-Bahadurgarh Highway. The police used water cannon and tear gas shells to disperse protesting farmers at Tikri border near Delhi-Bahadurgarh highway.
Today is the second day of Dilli Chalo march by farmers who are demanding that the Centre withdraw recently enacted farm laws or insert minimum support price (MSP) in the acts. A farmer was killed and two others were injured as the tractor-trolley in which they were travelling to the national capital in response to the 'Delhi Chalo' call was hit by a truck in Haryana's Bhiwani district. The incident occurred at Mundhal in Bhiwani district when the truck hit the tractor at a police barricade. A case was registered against the truck driver who hit the tractor, killing a protesting farmer and injuring two others. In this accident, Tanna Singh, a farmer from Mansa in Punjab, died on the spot while two others were injured. The police immediately rushed the injured to the Bhiwani Civil Hospital for treatment. After getting a complaint in this regard, a case has been registered against the truck driver under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is underway.

After being stopped, farmers stayed for the night at the toll at Panipat Highway. They are carrying enough food to last a month and have stoves and other kitchen items.
