Delhi-NCR enjoyed a pleasant and refreshing Holi as light rain brought relief from the rising temperatures. Several parts of Delhi and Noida experienced drizzles. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the change in weather provided a welcome respite, allowing people to celebrate Holi comfortably.
Day begins sunny, ends with showers
The day began with clear skies and sunshine, setting the stage for vibrant Holi festivities. However, as the afternoon progressed, dark clouds gathered over the city, leading to light rainfall in multiple areas. Noida also witnessed light drizzling, which added to the festive mood. The unexpected showers helped keep the heat at bay, making the outdoor celebrations more enjoyable.
IMD forecast
IMD had earlier predicted the possibility of light rain on Holi. Before the showers, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 17.6°C, which is 2.5°C higher than normal. The humidity level was recorded at 80% at 8:30 AM, contributing to the overall comfort during the celebrations.
According to the latest IMD update, there is a possibility of very light rain or drizzling in the evening or night. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 33°C.
