A Delhi court has reserved its order on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bail plea until June 5, the day after the Lok Sabha election results. With his interim bail ending today, Kejriwal will return to Tihar jail tomorrow. During the hearing at Rouse Avenue Court, ED representatives asserted that the Supreme Court’s order prohibits an interim bail extension plea, allowing only a regular bail plea.

ASG Raju emphasized that bail is applicable only if the individual is in custody, making Kejriwal’s interim bail application invalid. The ED also accused Kejriwal of suppressing facts about the medical test he needs and noted that he had filed a similar petition in the Supreme Court.
