A Andaman and Nicobar Islands bound Air India plane with 75 passengers on board today had to abort take-off after pilot detected a “deflated” tyre while taxiing at the airport here.
The pilot of the flight, scheduled to leave for Port Blair around 11 am, was taxiing it when he noticed that one of the rear wheels had deflated, an Air India official said.
Immediately the aircraft was taken to a parking bay and passengers embarked safely.
After a gap of three hours, the passengers were sent to their destination by another aircraft, the official said, adding the aircraft would be put into operation later after tyre change.
