A potentially dangerous situation was averted early Saturday morning when a cycle left on the railway track became stuck to the engine of the Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad Sabarmati Express. The incident occurred as the train passed between the Khalilabad and Maghar railway stations around 6 a.m., according to a police official, reported PTI.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar Singh confirmed that there were no casualties or damage to the train. “A cycle was found on the track when the Sabarmati Express was passing. It got stuck to the train’s engine,” Singh stated.
The official further added that there have been reports of locals crossing the railway tracks at the site where the incident occurred, which police are now investigating.
Though no injuries or significant damage were reported, the incident highlights ongoing concerns about safety near railway tracks. Authorities are expected to take further preventive measures to avoid such occurrences in the future.
