Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired a meeting on Monday to review the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and urged officials to expedite ongoing projects across various departments to ensure the maximum benefits reach the people of the state. He also stressed the importance of conceptualizing and prioritizing new welfare initiatives for the state’s progress.

During the review, the minister also evaluated the status of social welfare schemes, backward class and tribal development, women welfare, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and the agricultural sector. CM Sukhu emphasized that such schemes were to be completed before schedule so that the escalation in costs would not cause hindrance to the pace of growth in the state.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the government was committed to delivering quality facilities to people at their doorsteps. He asked officials to work proactively in serving the targeted communities effectively and reminded them of the need for spreading awareness about government policies and programs so that the general public could participate and enjoy the benefits.

He also highlighted the significant progress made by the state in the past two years, marked by the launch of several innovative initiatives for public welfare. Sukhu called on departments to further promote awareness of state government schemes to ensure that the people can take full advantage of these opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Onkar Chand Sharma, Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar, and several other senior officials. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena and Secretary Abhishek Jain participated virtually.
