Bypoll Results 2025 Live: What is the reason behind low voter turnout in Jubilee Hills?

Jubilee Hills, hailed as the epicentre of the Telugu film industry, is home to some of Tollywood’s biggest studios, production houses and star residences. From top actors to celebrated directors and producers, the constituency has long been where cinema and politics subtly intersect.

However, the bypoll turnout told a different story this time. Most Tollywood celebrities gave polling day a miss, dampening the glamour usually associated with elections in this high-profile area, reported IANS.

A handful of film personalities, including veteran actor Tanikella Bharani, filmmaker SS Rajamouli and actor Gopichand, turned up to cast their votes. But the absence of the industry’s A-listers was hard to ignore.

Superstar Chiranjeevi, along with stars like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, all of whom had voted in previous elections and often urged citizens to do the same, were missing from the polling booths this time.
