4 held for cheating people with phone-drugs-money laundering
Two fake call centres allegedly involved in stealing money from people after falsely linking them with drug deals and money laundering were busted in Powai in Mumbai, leading to the arrest of four persons, a police official said on Friday.
He said 25 laptops and six mobile phones have been seized during the raids. (PTI)
Israel’s call to move Gaza civilians ‘horrendous’ – UN agency
The United Nations Palestinian refugee agency on Friday described Israel’s call to move more than 1 million civilians in northern Gaza in 24 hours as “horrendous” and said the enclave was rapidly becoming a “hell hole”. Israel’s military made the call as it amassed tanks for an expected ground invasion in response to a devastating attack by the militant group Hamas. (Reuters)
AAP’s Sanjay Singh sent to judicial custody till Oct 27
A Delhi court on Friday sent AAP leader Sanjay Singh, arrested in a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise scam, to judicial custody till October 27. Eminent film producer P V Gangadharan passes away
Eminent businessman-turned film producer and whole-time director of Mathrubhumi daily, P V Gangadharan, who had produced several path-breaking movies including “Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha” and “Angaadi” died in this north Kerala district on Friday, family sources said. He was 80. (PTI)

Turkey’s warning to its citizens
