Bihar Election Commission Voter List Ward Wise Released: The Election Commission of India has released the final voter list today as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in poll-bound Bihar. However, its legality and timing are still under debate.
The Supreme Court has made it clear that even after the final list is released, the process could be canceled if any wrongdoing is found. The court had pointed out that publishing the list does not make it free from legal action. The final hearing on whether the SIR process is valid will take place on October 7, keeping the matter unsettled for now.

Rahul Gandhi’s allegations and EC’s response
Rahul Gandhi has time and again strongly attacked the Election Commission, calling the SIR “institutionalized vote theft” to help the BJP in Bihar. He claims that lakhs of genuine voters, especially the poor, are being unfairly removed from the list. Gandhi has also accused the Commission of working hand in hand with the BJP and held rallies like the Voter Adhikar Yatra to spread his message. Other INDIA bloc leaders, including Tejashwi Yadav, have supported his allegations.
The Election Commission has firmly denied these allegations. It says the SIR process is legal, transparent, and done with full checks. According to the EC, no voter can be removed without notice, a chance to respond, and a proper order. The Commission also pointed out that political parties had access to draft lists and consultations. It dismissed videos and claims shared by opposition leaders as misleading.
