Bihar assembly elections 2025: The second and final phase of voting for Bihar election 2025 will take place today, and at 6 pm, the EVMs will have the electoral fortunes of 1,302 candidates locked. With 1,314 candidates in fray during the first phase, Nov 14 will witness the conclusion of the high-octane battle deciding the future of over 2600 candidates..

Here are 10 important things about Bihar election 2025 phase 2:

1. The voting in Bihar election phase 2 will be held across 122 constituencies in the state. 

2. A total of 3.70 crore of voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in this second phase.

3. Over half of the electorate (2.28 crore) is aged between 30 and 60 years. Only 7.69 lakh are in the 18-19 years age group. The total number of women voters in the 122 constituencies is 1.75 crore.

4. The election commission said a total of 1,302 candidates are in fray in this phase. Voting in this phase will be held across 45,399 polling stations, of which 40.073 fall in rural areas. 

5. The voting will begin at 7 am and end at 5 pm.

6. Most of the districts going to polls in the second phase are in the Seemanchal region, which has a high concentration of Muslim population. This makes it a high-stakes battle for both the NDA and INDIA bloc. 

7. The Hisua seat in Nawada district has the largest electorate (3.67 lakh), while Lauria, Chanpatia, Raxaul, Triveniganj, Sugauli and Banmakhi have the most number of candidates (22 each), reported PTI.

8. Important candidates for the election from the state cabinet are: Bijendra Prasad Yadav (JDU), Prem Kumar (BJP), Renu Devi (BJP), Neeraj Kumar Singh “Bablu” (BJP), Leshi Singh (JDU), Sheela Mandal (JDU) and Zama Khan (JDU). 

9. Key NDA ally, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) is contesting polls on six seats, and all these seats are going to polls in this phase.

10. An hour after polling concludes, exit polls will be announced hinting at a possible picture of the result day.
