Bihar Elections 2025: With no clarity yet on the seat-sharing of the Mahagathbandhan alliance of the opposition parties, the Congress on Wednesday announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
As October 17 deadline for filing nominations for the first phase neared, the grand-old party raced to end the suspense on its candidates. Party sources said, reported Indian Express, a panel headed by senior leader Ajay Maken met on Wednesday and approved names for eight constituencies, while keeping nine seats on a “pending list” due to unresolved decisions, the report added,
As many as 53 names were cleared by the party’s Central Election Committee, the IE report mentioned.
