The security has been tightened along the Indo-Nepal border in Jaynagar, Madhubani district, to ensure peaceful polling and prevent cross-border disruptions in view of phase 1 of Bihar election on Nov 6.

Addressing a public rally in Bhojpur, Union Minister JP Nadda takes a dig at RJD’s election symbol. He said that, “‘Mahagathbandhan’ is ‘Mahathugbandhan’ and we should remember this. We have taken the journey of Bihar from ‘lantern’ to ‘LED’ and this is the era of ‘LED’.”

In Bihar’s Bettiah, Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged people to vote for the “Bow & Arrow, the Lotus symbol”.

“We will deposit ₹2 lakh into the bank accounts of Bihar’s Jeevika Didis. Lalu Yadav wants to make his son the CM, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the PM. But I have a message for both Lalu Yadav and Sonia Gandhi: there is no vacant CM post in Bihar and no vacant PM post in Delhi…” he added.

Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal takes jibe on the rift between Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav. While talking to the media, he said, “Someone who can’t manage his own family can’t manage Bihar.”

FIR registered against Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’ for making controversial remarks against Oppn leaders in Bihar, reported PTIU citing an official.

“If NDA retains power in Bihar, each district to get one engineering, one medical college in next 5 years,” Amit Shah promises in Motihari.

In an election rally in Arrah, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor said that for the past three years, he has been going around telling people that when leaders offer money during elections, take the money, “but cast your vote for your children, for their education, for their jobs.”

Addressing a rally in Bihar, Amit Shah said that approval for new airport at Raxaul has been given and an auditorium will be built at Motihari.

He warned people that “murders, loots, kidnappings, extortion will be common in Bihar again”, if they “make mistake” on November 6 voting day.

Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi said he meets youth of Bihar wherever he travels like Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra, Arunachal, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

“You work hard, in Ladakh, where roads are being built in the snow, who’s building them? People from Bihar. In Surat, where diamonds are cut and textiles are made, who does that? You do. You do the labour. The big buildings, the infrastructure, the bridges, the canals, who builds them? The youth of Bihar. CM Nitish Kumar has turned the youth of Bihar into labourers for the rest of the country. Wherever you go, you work as labourers. Is that the future you want? Does the youth of Bihar want to spend their lives as labourers?…” he said in Aurangabad.

In Bihar, BJP MP Anurag Thakur said that if Mahagathbandhan is voted to power, Bihar will not get electricity but will instead lose out on electricity, becoming “bijli mukt”.

On RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Jan Shakti Janata Dal’s national president and candidate from Mahua assembly constituency, Tej Pratap Yadav called his younger brother a “child”.

“After the elections, we’ll hand him a rattle… If he goes to our area, we’ll go to his area too. Then we’ll go to Raghopur…” he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a rally in Darbhanga. He said Lalu Yadav and Rahul Gandhi were in power at the Centre for 10 years, and Lalu and Rabri ruled Bihar as Chief Ministers for 15 years.

“What did they ever do for Darbhanga? What did they do for its development? Nothing at all. When Modi Ji’s government came to power, it was Narendra Modi who took the initiative to build an AIIMS in Darbhanga…” he said.

On RJD candidate from Chapra Assembly Constituency & Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav’ statement, Actor and BJP leader Dinesh Lal Yadav says that for over 500 years, Hindus fought, risked their lives, and made sacrifices for the Ram temple.

“And after the court’s verdict, when the grand Ram Temple has finally been built, you have the audacity to say that a hospital should have been made there instead? Such a person can only be called ignorant, he certainly cannot be called a true Yadav,” he said.

During Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor’s roadshow in Bihar’s Arrah, several workers of of Mahagathbandhan staged a protest, waving party flags and blocking the road.

On Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s statement regarding Dynastic politics, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that the Congress MP has remembered dynastic politics after a long time.

“Perhaps his words will reach Kharge, so that he too may free himself from servitude and stand against dynastic rule” he added.

On RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s new promises, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari says, “Our NDA government has launched the CM Jeevika Yojana and the way NDA runs welfare schemes with a clear roadmap, every family receives at least ₹1.5 to ₹2 lakh directly in a year. This scheme has been thoughtfully planned and implemented efficiently. If the opposition has any new ideas, they should present them, but first, they should resolve the internal conflicts within their own Mahagathbandhan…”

Speaking at a rally in Bihar, Union Minister of Roads and Highways, Nitin Gadkari promised to build national highways as per world standards in the state.

“… and that day is not far off when I will make Bihar’s roads on par with America’s. This is my promise: I will build the best bridges. There are no obstacles; anything is achievable. I’m not doing you a favour – this is your money. You are the master, and we are the servants. We serve you honestly; that’s why you elected us…” he said.

RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan’s CM candidate, Tejashwi Yadav has promised to provide electricity for irrigation purpose free of cost to farmers, if the alliance is voted to power in Bihar.

“Our goal is to build a better Bihar. Today, we have made an important announcement for farmers. We declare that when our government is formed, electricity used by farmers for irrigation will be provided free of cost. For crop procurement, we will provide an additional Rs 300 per quintal over the MSP for paddy and Rs 400 per quintal over the MSP for wheat. On Makar Sankranti, that is, on January 14, Rs 30,000 will be directly transferred into the accounts of mothers and sisters under the ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched a sharp attack on the opposition INDIA bloc, accusing the RJD and Congress of internal conflict. He claimed that RJD’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav was trying to “hide the sins” of his father, Lalu Prasad, by pushing his photos to the corners of election posters.

Speaking at rallies in Saharsa and Katihar districts of Bihar’s Seemanchal region, PM Modi criticised what he called the “royal families” of the Congress and RJD. He alleged that these leaders enjoy travelling abroad and celebrating foreign festivals, but dismiss traditional Hindu events like Chhath Puja as mere “drama.” Modi also said they had not even taken time to visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

On PM Modi’s remarks on Lalu Yadav, Mahagathbandhan’s CM face, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav says, “PM Modi should talk about the 14 crore people of Bihar, why is he talking about useless things? The kind of profit Lalu Yadav has given to the Railways, PM Modi cannot do that even in 7 births…”

On RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav campaigning for Bihar Election 2025, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said he doesn’t want to make an issue of this, but it has certainly been a matter of concern.

“.. He’s out (of jail), expressing concerns about his health. But sometimes he goes out with his family, campaigns, goes for nominations, and attends dinners… Misusing the concessions given by law is a crime in itself…” he added.

Ahead of the Bihar polls, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra arrives and says, “The Grand Alliance government will make Rosera a district, fulfilling a long-pending public demand.”

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge slams Nitish Kumar in press conference in Patna, “CM Nitish Kumar is absent in PM’s rallies, roadshow. It’s now clear that he will not become the CM (of the state) again.”

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge says, “They have made Bihar miserable. They have ruined the schools. We don’t have teachers and there are no jobs in the entire country today. 50 lakh jobs are vacant in universities, police, central police, railways and in the Government of India. They should recruit people. They are not recruiting and here they are talking about one crore jobs. That’s why this time, people will teach a lesson to such liars. Bihar is a politically conscious state. There may be poverty and unemployment here, but politically, everyone is very smart. They know when to vote, how to vote, and whom to vote for…”

Responding to the continuous ‘jungle raj’ remarks by the NDA leaders, Congress’ Ashok Gehlot says, ““See Mokama, this is what Jungle Raj looks like.. Where is Jungle Raj today?”

He claimed women are unsafe, incidents of rape, dacoity, and theft are rampant in the state. “It’s been 20 years of Nitish Kumar’s rule, and 20 years is a long time. Once projected as a Prime Ministerial candidate, today they (NDA) are not even ready to declare him as their Chief Ministerial face… Today, Nitish Kumar had to walk out of a press conference in just 26 seconds, do they (NDA) have any answers?” he said.
