Rajasthan CM Swearing-in ceremony: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) first-time MLA Bhajanlal Sharma took oath as the new chief minister of Rajasthan on Friday, which happens to be his 56th birthday as well. Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the Sanganer MLA the oath during a ceremony at the Ramnivas Bag in Jaipur, in front of the historic Albert Hall.
Along with Sharma, BJP MLA from Vidhyadhar Nagar Diya Kumari and Dudu MLA Prem Chand Bairwa were sworn in as deputy chief ministers.

BJP’s top brass, including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and chief ministers of the BJP-ruled states, were in attendance. The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Outgoing Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also attended the ceremony.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje was also present at the swearing-in ceremony of Sharma.
Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, Bhajanlal Sharma offered prayers at the Govind Devji temple in the state capital and fed cows at the Pinjrapol Gaushala on Tonk road. His family members and supporters also accompanied him. He also took blessings from his parents at his residence at Balaji Tower near the Jawahar Circle.
