Sreeparna Dutta has launched a heartfelt appeal on social media, urgently seeking assistance in finding her missing husband, Vipin Gupta. The tech professional, originally from Lucknow, has been untraceable since August 4. Despite filing an FIR, Ms. Dutta reports minimal progress from local police.
According to Ms. Dutta, Vipin vanished from Tatanagar, Kodigehalli, around 12:42 pm. He was last seen in a beige jacket and dark grey track pants, riding his green Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. Notably, he left without any bags, and shortly after his disappearance, ₹1.8 lakh was withdrawn from his bank account. His phone was also turned off.
In a series of emotional posts on social media, Ms. Dutta, who is a resident of Bengaluru with two young daughters, appealed for public support, criticizing the police’s lack of progress. She claimed financial strain due to the withdrawn money and expressed frustration over the police’s response.
On August 9, Ms. Dutta approached senior police officials, including the ACP and DCP, but faced hostility from the DCP. In response to her social media plea, police have now prioritized the investigation, reviewing CCTV footage to track Vipin Gupta’s movements. The DCP’s official account assured that the search is ongoing and urged anyone with information to contact the investigating officer.
