In a shocking turn of events, the Bengaluru police have arrested Abhishek, the man accused of stabbing a 24-year-old woman to death in her paying guest (PG) accommodation. Abhishek, who hails from Bihar, was apprehended in Madhya Pradesh and is being brought to Bengaluru for further investigation.

The victim, Kriti Kumari, also from Bihar, was a business development associate at a project-based learning platform. She had been residing at the PG in Bengaluru’s Koramangala since March. On Tuesday night, around 11 pm, she was brutally attacked and killed. The incident was captured on CCTV, which helped the police track down the accused.

According to the police, Abhishek was the ex-boyfriend of Kumari’s roommate. He frequently visited the PG and had heated arguments with his girlfriend, during which Kumari would often intervene. She had reportedly advised her roommate to leave Abhishek and move out with her, which escalated tensions.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand confirmed the arrest and emphasised that the investigation is being expedited. Three dedicated police teams were formed to capture the accused, who was finally located in Madhya Pradesh.

The footage from the CCTV cameras revealed Abhishek entering the PG, dragging Kumari into the corridor, and fatally stabbing her before fleeing. The residents, alarmed by the commotion, quickly alerted the police.
