Bahadurgarh Assembly Election Results 2024: Independent candidate Rajesh Joon has taken a significant lead in the ongoing Haryana Assembly elections, surpassing Congress’ Rajinder Singh Joon by approximately 22,836 votes after the tenth round of counting. According to the Election Commission, Rajesh Joon has secured 41504 votes, while Rajinder Singh Joon trails with 18668 votes.
BJP’s Dinesh Kaushik has garnered 17,800 votes so far. The current electoral landscape shows the BJP leading in 50 out of the 90 seats, with Congress ahead in 35 constituencies. Independent candidates are making their mark, leading in four seats across Haryana.
Rajesh Joon, a graduate, has declared total assets amounting to Rs 61 crore, which includes Rs 63 lakh in movable assets and Rs 60.4 crore in immovable assets. His total declared income stands at Rs 6.4 crore, all of which is self-generated. However, he has also reported total liabilities of Rs 19.4 crore and has one criminal case registered against him.
In the previous Haryana Assembly elections held in 2019, Rajinder Singh Joon of Congress won the seat against BJP’s Naresh Kaushik by a margin of 15,491 votes, representing 11.31% of the total votes cast. Congress held a 40.77% vote share in that election.
In contrast, in the 2014 elections, Naresh Kaushik from BJP defeated Rajinder Singh Joon by a margin of 4,882 votes, which accounted for 3.69% of the total votes cast, with BJP holding a 28.96% vote share at that time.
As counting continues, the outcome of the Haryana Assembly elections remains a closely watched contest, with potential implications for the state’s political landscape.
