YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled the party manifesto for the upcoming elections, promising a gradual increase in welfare pensions from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500 per month.
Reddy outlined plans to incrementally raise welfare pensions, starting from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,250 in January 2028, and further to Rs 3,500 in January 2029.
He assured that upon assuming power in 2024, Visakhapatnam would be designated as the executive capital, with a focus on transforming it into the state’s growth hub.
He also promised the development of Amaravati as the legislative capital and Kurnool as the judicial capital.
While continuing various schemes from the past five years, Reddy announced enhancements to financial allocations for certain programs, such as raising the annual grant for the Amma Vodi scheme from Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,000. The Amma Vodi scheme provides financial support to mothers who ensure their children attend school.
Andhra Pradesh is set to conduct assembly elections simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls on May 13.
