Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, is set to visit Vadnagar in Mehsana district on Thursday to inaugurate several significant projects worth over Rs 300 crore. The visit is part of the Anant Anadi Vadnagar program, a major initiative aimed at enhancing the region’s infrastructure and cultural heritage.
Inauguration of Archaeological Experiential Museum and Other Key Projects
During the visit, Shah and Patel will inaugurate the Archaeological Experiential Museum, which has been built at a cost of Rs 298 crore. The museum will provide visitors with an immersive experience of the rich history and culture of the region. Additionally, they will inaugurate the Prerna Sankul, a project valued at Rs 72 crore, and the Vadnagar Sports Complex, which has been developed at a cost of Rs 33 crore. These projects are expected to bring significant benefits to the local community, improving access to education, sports facilities, and cultural preservation.
Shah will also take a close look at ongoing works under the Heritage Precinct Development Scheme, which includes the development of urban roads, beautification efforts, and the restoration of historic facades in Vadnagar. As part of his visit, Shah will also offer prayers at the Hatkeshwar Temple, a key religious site in the area.
In addition to the project inaugurations, Shah and CM Patel will meet with students and their families at the Prerna Sankul. They will also attend the 18th convocation ceremony at Ganpati University in Kherwa, celebrating the achievements of the institution’s students.
The event will be attended by a range of political figures, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Gujarat’s State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel, State Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, State Tourism Minister Mulu Bera, and State Cooperation Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma. Rajya Sabha MP Mayank Nayak, Lok Sabha MP Hari Patel, and local MLAs are also expected to be present, according to an official release.
