Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a swipe at the Congress party saying that after the results of this Lok Sabha elections, no one will even ask about the party.
In an interview with Rajat Sharma at ‘Aap ki Adalat‘ show, he said that Opposition INDIA coalition will lose all seats in Uttar Pradesh.
“Rahul can take this in writing from me that his alliance will lose all the seats in Uttar Pradesh”, CM said in response to Gandhi’s remark at the Kannauj rally on Saturday where he said, “Take it from me in writing, BJP will lose maximum seats in UP.”
He further claimed that whenever Rahul Gandhi is in the midst of crisis, he flees the country.
“This time too, after June 4, he will sing this Hindi Film song – chal udd ja re panchi, yeh desh hua beganna,” he said.
In the 403-seat UP assembly, Congress has only two MLAs, the CM said.
“Next time, they will lose these two seats too. I want to ask Rahul, if he was so confident of winning 80 seats in UP, why did he go and contest in Wayanad? And when he decided to contest here, why did he leave Amethi and contest from Rae Bareli? Let him live in a dream world.”
The CM asserted that Narendra Modi will return as the Prime Minister of the country, and emphasised that the BJP is “marching towards the direction” of securing over 400 seats.
Adityanath also said that the contentious Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be enacted during the third term of the Modi government, as it has been promised in the BJP’s manifesto.
On Muslim Personal Law Board spokesman Maulana Sajjad Nomani appealing to Muslims to vote collectively to defeat Modi, Yogi said, “This is really unfortunate. During the last 10 years, Modi gave social welfare benefits to all irrespective of caste and religion.”
Speaking about gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s death while in jail, Adityanath took a swipe at Samajwadi Party saying that they condoled the death of a mafia and not former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh.
“He had to die. Samajwadi Party leaders went to his home to console the family. There lies the difference between us and them. When Ram Bhakt former CM Kalyan Singh died, Samajwadi Party did not even leave a condolence message, but for a dead gangster, their leader went to his home to shed crocodile tears. Our country can never tolerate this,” he said.
