Adds doctors and diagnostics to its coaching service

GOQii, a virtual fitness coaching platform, announced the latest update to its ecosystem by integrating doctors and diagnostics. This enhanced offering comes with a bouquet of additional health features such as the health risk assessment and health locker along with GOQii fitness band.

Earlier in 2014, GOQii disrupted the wearable space by integrating human coaches to its platform. The coaches worked with the user’s data to provide customised advice on a regular basis, keeping the user motivated and on track to success through goal reinforcement.

GOQii has brought on board doctors trained in dealing with general medical and lifestyle related issues. Emotional wellness, counselling and preventive health being the main focus of the doctors, they will collectively work with the coaches and diagnose user’s health and lifestyle problems. The doctors consultation will be available to the users through an app-based service over chat and voice call.

Additionally, GOQii announced a tie-up with Max Healthcare as their hospital and medical partner and Thyrocare as their diagnostic partner. Through this partnership, users needing specialist consultation can benefit by being referred to Max Hospital for further care. The platform also offers users the convenience to book a diagnostic appointment on the app with Thyrocare.

Post the diagnosis all the reports generated will be centralised on the GOQii platform within the Health Locker feature. The health locker acts as a repository for the user’s medical diagnostic history making it readily available to all- coaches, users, doctors on or off the platform, with the requisite consent of the user. The users will also be able to take a comprehensive Health Risk Assessment (HRA) giving them detailed insights into their overall health situation.
