The gas distribution arm of the Adani Group, Adani Total Gas, announced on Tuesday that its Chief Financial Officer Parag Parikh has resigned. His resignation came into effect from the close of business hours on September 30, the company said in an exchange filing.

Parikh, an industry veteran, cited his intention to pursue external professional opportunities as the sole reason for stepping down. In a letter to the board, he clarified, “There is no other material reason for my resignation apart from the above stated reason.”

Adani Total Gas confirmed that Parikh’s departure follows standard procedures and expressed appreciation for his contributions. “The Company is in the process of appointing a new Chief Financial Officer and an intimation in this regard will be made, over next few days,” the company stated in the filing.

Who is Parag Parikh?

Parag Parikh resigned as CFO of Adani Total Gas after more than six years with the company, according to his LinkedIn. Parikh has nearly three decades of experience across multiple sectors in India. Before joining Adani Total Gas, Parikh spent almost five years at the GMR Group, where he last served as Group Head of Finance for the infrastructure conglomerate in 2019.

Since January 2025, Parikh has been a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) CFO Council.

Parikh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai’s Jai Hind College and a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, as per the information available on his LinkedIn profile.
