A new AI tool is quietly changing how companies manage their cloud systems — and it may also change some tech jobs along the way.

CloudTuner ai, built by Gurgaon-based startup Invincible Ocean, helps companies find where they’re overspending or have security risks in their cloud setups. It works with major platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and Kubernetes.

What makes it different is how much it automates. The tool scans cloud systems using read-only access — meaning it doesn’t change anything — and uses AI to create detailed checklists. These include things like unused servers, billing errors, weak security settings, and setup mistakes.

Companies using the tool report that it can identify 20% to 70% in potential cloud savings.

This kind of work has usually been done by DevOps, FinOps, or SecOps engineers. Now, CloudTuner is doing much of it automatically. That’s raising quiet concerns in the tech world: is this helping engineers, or slowly replacing some of what they do?

Invincible Ocean says the goal isn’t to cut jobs, but to remove the boring and time-consuming parts. “We were running multiple cloud systems and didn’t know where the money was going. That’s why we built it,” said founder Ajay Setia.

The tool doesn’t make changes or store customer data. It simply points out problems and suggests fixes.

Still, as more companies look to cut costs, tools like CloudTuner could affect hiring — especially for junior roles.

As with AI tools in coding and content, this one shows that some tech tasks are changing fast — even if the jobs don’t disappear completely.
