Over the years, his stance on crypto has shifted from calling it a “scam” back in 2021 to branding himself as a pro-crypto, particularly during his 2024 presidential campaign.
As of January 16, 2025, Trump’s crypto portfolio was valued at $15.8 million, reflecting significant growth from around $1.3 million as of January 16, 2024, according to the data from crypto intelligence firm Arkham. The President-elect’s portfolio is diversified across various digital assets, with a notable emphasis on meme coins—cryptocurrencies inspired by internet memes.
The performance of meme currencies like TROG, which have experienced tremendous gain, is largely responsible for Trump’s cryptocurrency portfolio’s increase from about $10 million towards the end of 2024. Trump’s cryptocurrency holdings were valued at $11.9 million at the beginning of January, which represents an increase of about $2.7 million from the previous month.
TROG holds a sizable amount of Trump’s assets. He owns 210 billion TROG tokens, worth $9.5 million followed by 579k Trump coins, a meme coin bearing his name, worth $1.66 million.

Bitcoin also saw a jump of 2 per cent to $98,500 in 24 hours following the release of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data on Wednesday.
