About a month ago, Nitin Gadkari had announced that he will transform Bihar’s road connectivity in the next four years. He had pledged that the quality of roads and highways in Bihar will be similar to the standards of the national highways in America. Now recently, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has released a list of National Highways (NHs) that have been approved for construction in Bihar. As part of the expansion of infrastructure, 21 new toll plazas have also been proposed across Bihar. However, there are no new toll plazas planned for the Katihar district.

Here’s a list of National Highway projects in Bihar that have been approved for implementation:

  1. Construction of six bypasses including Mangobandhar, Kendua, Tolesono, Jhajha, Narganjo & Bhairogunj
