Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated seven flyovers constructed by the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MAHARAIL) on Sunday (January 5). Speaking at the event, CM Fadnavis praised MAHARAIL for setting a new benchmark in the rapid construction of flyovers in the state. He announced that the state-owned company plans to complete 200 flyovers and underpasses in the near future.
The Chief Minister highlighted Maharashtra’s leading position in infrastructure development, with the highest number of under-construction projects in the country, spanning metro systems, roads, highways, airports, and ports.
Fadnavis stated that MAHARAIL has achieved a record pace in building flyovers. In the coming days, 200 more flyovers and underpasses will be completed. Maharashtra is leading the country in infrastructure projects, with all types of developments progressing rapidly.
The seven flyovers inaugurated are located in various districts, including Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Washim. Specific projects include:
- Nagpur: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 293 near Godhani Railway Station
- Amravati: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 70 near Chandur Railway Station
- Wardha: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 103 near Sindi Railway Station
- Chandrapur: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 43A/143A at Babupeth
- Dhule: Flyover at Dondaicha city railway gate No. 105
- Jalgaon: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 149 near Jalgaon Railway Station
- Washim: Flyover at Railway Gate No. 115 near Washim Railway Station
In a social media post on X, the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) shared the details of the flyovers and praised MAHARAIL’s efforts. Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal, Managing Director of MAHARAIL, along with other senior officials, was present at the event.
