Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday claimed that by 2029, when the BJP-led NDA completes 15 years in power at the Centre, Bihar’s network of national highways will rival that of the United States.
Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, made this statement while speaking at consecutive events in Bodh Gaya.
The minister said that rapid progress in road infrastructure is being seen in Bihar. “ I promise that after the current five-year term, when we will be completing 15 years in power, the network of Bihar will be on par with that of America,” he added.
He further said that the state’s road network has seen great improvement in the last few years.
“Bihar’s road network has seen tremendous improvement in the last few years, and the NDA government will continue to work for further development, said Gadkari, who inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects to the tune of Rs 3,700 crore,” he said.
Bodh Gaya, a hub of Bihar’s and India’s cultural heritage, is set for accelerated development with the inauguration of new projects and the laying of foundation stones today, Gadkari emphasised.
