Western Railway zone has announced the regulation of several train services due to scheduled maintenance work between Mahim and Bandra stations in Maharashtra. A total of 451 trains, including Vande Bharat, Rajdhani Express and suburban services, will be impacted.

The maintenance involves rebuilding the south abutment of Bridge No. 20 and will affect operations on the intervening nights of 24th/25th January 2025 (Friday/Saturday) and 25th/26th January 2025 (Saturday/Sunday).

Western Railway Major Block Details

24th/25th January 2025 (Friday/Saturday): A block will occur from 23:00 hrs to 08:30 hrs on UP and Down Slow lines, and from 00:30 hrs to 06:30 hrs on the Down Fast line.

25th/26th January 2025 (Saturday/Sunday): A block will take place from 23:00 hrs to 08:30 hrs on UP and Down Slow and Down Fast lines, and from 23:00 hrs to 07:30 hrs on the UP Fast line.

Regulation of Train Services on 24th/25th January 2025

The last Slow train towards Virar will depart from Churchgate at 23:58 hrs. After 23:00 hrs on Friday, all Slow services from Churchgate will run on the Fast line between Mumbai Central and Santacruz, skipping stations like Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim, and Khar Road.

Services from Virar, Bhayandar, and Borivali after 23:00 hrs will also run on the Fast line and won’t stop at several stations between Santacruz and Mumbai Central. Local services between Churchgate and Dadar will operate on the Fast line during the block period.

On Saturday morning, Slow and Fast services originating from Virar and surrounding stations will terminate at Andheri. The first Fast train post-block will depart from Virar at 05:47 hrs, reaching Churchgate by 07:05 hrs.
